who we are

Portal was founded in 2013 with the purpose of transforming lives by providing pathways out of poverty. Since the earthquake in April of 2015, we have used our knowledge and experience in manufacturing to provide shelter to earthquake victims and help in the long term rebuilding efforts of Nepal.

Despite the lack of ongoing media coverage, Nepal is still struggling following the earthquake. Thousands of families continue to live without a proper house, and many communities have yet to rebuild. It's going to take years to rebuild, but by working together we can serve those affected by the tragedy. You can help.

Portal Prefab is a project of Portal, a non-profit dedicated to eradicating poverty. Portal's other project, Portal Bikes, uses innovative cargo bike technology to create pathways out of poverty. These bicycles carry cargo, power machines, and allow local people to transform their lives.
